Our body is mostly comprised of water, so keeping it hydrated, as well as nourished and rested, maintains a balanced 2nd chakra, helping us to effortlessly “go with the flow”, making our creative juices flowing, and allowing to experience joy, harmony, and positive relationships.

A healthy SACRAL CHAKRA allows us to be spontaneous and playful, feel strong emotions without being overpowered by them. It results in flexibility, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment, and the ability to accept change.

Well-being, pleasure, intimacy, sensuality, abundance in all forms – all these qualities are present when the 2nd CHAKRA is balanced. Add to it creativity, sociability, patience, joie de vivre, and you will understand how important this Chakra is in our lives.

 

UNBALANCED 2nd CHAKRA

Unbalanced 2nd CHAKRA, on the other hand, results in under- or hyper-sexuality. It creates intimacy issues, frequent feeling of guilt, envy, frustration, and anxiety. We suffer from low self-value, broken relationships with partners and friends, and rarely feel joy. Cravings, addictions and self-destructive behavior in general are all challenges associated with unhealthy 2nd CHAKRA as well.

 

HOW TO KEEP YOUR 2nd CHAKRA IN SHAPE

Some of the most beneficial activities to keep your SACRAL CHAKRA healthy is dancing, swimming, doing yoga and other flexibility-building exercises. Drink plenty of water, take baths, spend time around sea or ocean. Try to wear orange often, surround yourself with orange color and eat orange-colored foods like carrots and oranges.

When you are working on the SACRAL CHAKRA, it is helpful to ask yourself questions to better understand how yours is doing:

  • Do I feel attractive?
  • Have I lost an ability to feel joy?
  • Am I frequently overly emotional?
  • Do I have hard time with change?

To heal and balance Chakras, it helps to use affirmations, or mantras. You might want to use them during meditation, or just repeat throughout your day.

By understanding your energy body, of which Chakras are a major part, you can find out a lot about yourself, and successfully navigate your life understanding others as well.
