FREEDOM mala from our Flow Collection is designed for use with a mindful practice, or for wearing out in the world.

Clear Quartz represents all Chakras, to remind you of your intention to balance all aspects of your life.

This 108-bead mala is approximately 20 - 21” long (without the tassel) and can wrap around your wrist 4-5 times.

These malas are made of Purple Sandalwood, Clear Quartz Crystal and Hematite.

  • Green Sandalwood is used as a reminder to stay compassionate and grateful. This exotic wood is known for its distinctive color changing ability - when exposed to sunlight and with wear, it turns a deeper shade of green unique to each piece.
  • Clear Quartz Crystal is known for its ability to regulate energies, amplify thoughts and assist in clear communication.

Our signature ŌM bead is made of Tibetan Silver and reminds you of infinite possibility.

All Modern ŌM Malas come in our signature gift box and include short descriptions of the materials used in their making.

Wearing It

Wear the Flow FREEDOM mala around your neck, or wrap it around your wrist.

You can gently stretch your mala to the perfect length if you choose to wear it around your wrist. Don’t worry—it won’t break.

MALA CARE: It is best not to wash your mala beads or wear your mala when swimming or bathing as this can damage the wood. To clean your mala beads gently wipe the beads using a damp cloth and place them in the shade to dry.

Origin & Materials

Modern ŌM malas are ethically hand crafted on Hainan Island in China. All materials used in our malas are taken from sustainable sources.

GREEN SANDALWOOD –an aromatic hardwood believed to bring peaceful thoughts and contentment.

CLEAR QUARTZ CRYSTAL- called a Master Healer, it amplifies any energy or intention as well as the effect of other crystals. It clears and re-energizes all Chakras and aids concentration and memory.

TIBETAN SILVER – traditionally, it has rustic, almost unfinished look to it, and is made of copper, zinc and silver. Tibetan silver is valued based on its color, symbolism and meaning.

Our artisans recite mantras as they hand-tie the knots of your mala, to add their positive intentions to yours.

Because malas are special objects that absorb the energy of your intentions, Modern ŌM honors the commitments you make when you wear them.

The Mala Society is our promise to repair or replace your mala in the event that it ever breaks.
